About Our Montessori Math Area

In our Math Montessori area, children learn about numbers through hands-on activities that help them understand math in a meaningful way. They use concrete materials to count, match numbers to symbols, and explore place value before moving on to more abstract ideas.

Children learn by touching, moving, and working with materials, which makes math easier to understand and more enjoyable. Playdough is used to make numbers and shapes, helping build fine motor skills. We also use weighing materials to explore heavy and light, and pattern activities to help children recognize sequences and develop early problem-solving skills.
